Many foreign tourists visit India every year. While they admire the natural beauty of the country, they are also fascinated by the bravery of our historical figures.

In Maharashtra, it's common to spot foreign tourists exploring forts like Raigad, Rajgad, Shivneri, etc. In one such incident, a tourist from New Zealand visited Pune and trekked to the Sinhagad Fort on the outskirts of the city. There, instead of sharing stories of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's courage and legacy, a group of youngsters taught the tourists vulgar slurs in Marathi.

The video of this incident has gone viral on social media.

Watch Video:

In the video, the tourist is seen trekking on the Sinhagad Fort when he meets with a group of youngsters. They teach him some Marathi slurs and encourage him to say them to another person. The tourist, who was not aware of what it meant, unknowingly went and repeated those words. The youth laughed and proceeded to team him another slur.

This shameful incident has sparked outrage online and is being widely condemned.

"I have a request to Maharashtra Police to take strict action against these people," an X (formerly Twitter) user wrote.

"These people who are tarnishing our Indian culture in front of foreign guests should be punished to the fullest extent of the law," another user said.

"It is very infuriating. It is inexcusable to abuse and harass tourists who have come from lakhs of kilometres to see the forts and to travel across the country to see the history of Shivaji Maharaj. The police should teach such worthless people a proper lesson," a third user commented.
