Pune: Viral Video Shows Drunk Woman Grooving To Dhol Beats Before Trying To Jump Into Pune River |

In a bizarre incident near Nana-Nani Park in Pune, a seemingly intoxicated woman caused a stir as she sat by the riverside, swaying to the drum beats of dhol pathaks practicing for the upcoming Ganesh Visarjan.

Her erratic behavior drew a huge crowd. As she appeared to attempt jumping into the river, alert bystanders called the police. Officials reached the scene swiftly, dispersed the crowd.

A video that went viral shows her sitting and grooving to the beats while police stand behind her. Onlookers said she tried to jump into the river at one point but was stopped.

However, no official information is yet available on the issue.

Reel or real?

Meanwhile, in another video now doing the rounds shows a man sitting right in the middle of the road, blocking a Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) bus. The man, seen wearing a woman’s wig, refuses to move even as the bus approaches and halts inches away from him. Moments later, he casually gets up and begins dancing.

These days, people seem to believe that doing something bizarre or outrageous is the only way to go viral on Instagram. From creating revolting food fusions to surfing on flooded, traffic-choked roads, the platform is now brimming with cringeworthy content that pushes the boundaries of absurdity.

Pune hasn’t been spared either. The city has its fair share of so-called content creators producing viral videos that many would hesitate to even call "content."

Instagram users are divided in the comments section - some wonder if he was drunk, while others suspect it was yet another attention-seeking stunt for an Instagram Reel.

Earlier, a young student stopped a PMPML bus to create an Instagram Reel. As seen in the viral video, the student gestures for the bus to stop on Fergusson College Road. The driver halts the bus, assuming the student intends to board. However, instead of getting on, the student places one foot on the bus step and pretends to tie his shoelaces. Once done, he casually walks away without boarding the bus, inviting the ire of the bus driver and the conductor.
