Pune: Two men have been arrested for allegedly threatening a man with death and robbing him of Rs 15,000 while he was standing by the roadside and talking on his phone in Kalyani Nagar, police said on Sunday.
The incident took place on 19th August. According to the police, the victim was standing on the side of the road and talking on his phone when two men arrived on a two-wheeler.

The accused allegedly confronted him and asked why he was “glaring angrily” at them. The argument then escalated, with the two allegedly threatening to kill the man before forcibly taking Rs 15,000 from his pocket.
The accused then fled from the spot on their two-wheeler. The shaken victim later approached Yerawada police and lodged a complaint.
Police registered a case of robbery and began investigating the incident.
87 CCTV Cameras Checked
As part of the investigation, police examined footage from 87 CCTV cameras installed in and around the area where the robbery took place.
The footage helped investigators trace the movements of the suspects. Police also carried out a technical analysis during the investigation.
The probe led police to the Hadapsar area, where the two suspects were believed to be staying. Investigators also found that both men were known to the Hadapsar police and had previous criminal records.
After gathering information about their whereabouts through confidential sources, Yerwada police, with assistance from Hadapsar police, took the two men into custody.
The arrested accused have been identified as Nikhil alias Dadya Shashikant Kamble, 26, and Ayan Nasir Shaikh, 22.
Police questioned the two men about the Kalyani Nagar robbery. According to police, both allegedly confessed to threatening the victim and taking ₹15,000 from him.
Further investigation is being carried out by Yerwada police.
