Undri: At Undri in Pune, an attempt at house burglary occurred on Monday. The attempted burglary was caught on a CCTV camera. The incident took place close to the Country Club and has left residents frightened and terrified. They are calling for enhanced security in the region.
Senior Police Inspector Mansingh Patil, who is the officer in charge at the Kale Padal Police Station, said the case was revealed after CCTV footage from the locality showed three to four suspects moving towards a residence.
In the video, the suspects can be seen walking intently towards something, their faces fully covered with cloth. Their body language appears confident and determined, showing no fear of being caught by the law.Local residents have lodged a complaint about the incident. Police have called them in to understand the issues they are facing and to plan appropriate action.
A special police unit has already been dispatched to pursue the suspects identified in the CCTV footage. Officials promise to make arrests soon and further investigate.
The video evidence has raised an alarm among members of the public. Residents commented that the suspects moved without hesitation, indicating they were well-prepared. This has raised concerns of more such attacks in the future.
