Two women died after their moped was crushed by a ready-mix concrete (RMC) truck in Pimpri-Chinchwad, a police official said on Saturday. The shocking video of the incident, which occurred on Friday, has gone viral on social media.

As seen in the video, the truck driver lost control of the vehicle, which was en route from Hinjawadi to Mahalunge, causing it to overturn and fall on the moped.
The victims have been identified as Pranjali Yadav (21) and Ashlesha Gawande (22), both final-year Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) students at a private college.
"The truck driver has been arrested under Sections 106 (causing death by negligence) and 125 (endangering life or personal safety of others) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS)," the official said.

Further investigation is underway.
