Keeping in mind the increasing expansion of the Charholi area, the post office has decided to open a new sub-post office for this area. This new sub-office is coming into operation on Saturday (March 8) on the occasion of International Women's Day. Due to this, the Charholi area has now got a new pincode of 411081.
Till now, the postal work in the Charholi area took place at the Alandi Devachi Post Office. Therefore, like Alandi, the pincode 412105 was used for Charholi as well. However, considering the growing population and scope of work in this area, permission has been given for the sub-post office, said Pune Rural Division Superintendent of Post Office Balkrishna Erande.
MLA Mahesh Landge, former Mayor of Pimpri Chinchwad Nitin Kalje, Postmaster General of Pune Region Ramchandra Jaybhaye, and Director of Pune Region Simran Kaur will be present at the inauguration program of the sub-post office on Saturday on the occasion of International Women's Day. On this occasion, a felicitation and gathering have been organized for women from various categories in the postal department. In this, guidance will be given on various schemes like savings accounts, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, monthly income scheme, recurring deposit scheme, and fixed deposit accounts, said Erande.
The upgraded post office offers various government schemes and savings account transactions, with faster registration and postal delivery. This aims to boost development in the area.
