In shocking visuals that surfaced on Wednesday, a man was beaten up by security staffers in Nanded City in front of Madhuvanti Society in the area.
"In Nanded City, Pune, security guards attempted to terrorize a flat owner by beating him in an unjust manner. Fifteen to twenty people, including security staff, were involved in attacking the flat owner in the society. 'Horrible,' wrote the man who posted the video.
On Tuesday, between 3-4 pm, the victim, a flat owner, was allegedly attacked by security guards after a dispute over sticker on a two-wheeler.
The incident led to 6-7 people being booked in connection with the attack, informed Atul Bhose, Senior Police Inspector of Nanded City Police station.
Meanwhile, the Nanded City administration has issued a statement regarding an incident involving security guards at the entrance of Madhuvanti Society in Nanded City on Tuesday, March 8. According to the administration, the incident began with a minor verbal altercation when the security guards requested resident to show the necessary sticker to enter.
"The situation escalated when a resident initially attacked the senior security guard supervisor and other security staff. In response, the security guards defended themselves, which led to a confrontation outside the Madhuvanti building. A video circulating on media outlets shows the incident, with some claiming that the residents were being beaten by the security guards," reads the statement by Nanded City.
Nanded City Administration Chief, Manoj Sharma, clarified that the incident arose from this verbal clash and there was no other underlying cause. The administration has also filed a complaint at the Nanded City Police Station, and the police are currently investigating the matter. Additionally, show-cause notices have been issued to the involved security guards.
