For the past several days, the alleged lady don Hina Sheikh and her gang members, Shoaib Jamadar and Shoaib Patel, have been allegedly harassing street vendors on FC Road on Pune. She demands money, saying vendors must pay her to do business there.
One poor vendor has been forced to close his business and extorted Rs. 2,000-4,000 multiple times, totaling Rs. 10,000.
When the vendor said he had no money, Hina Sheikh threw his goods on the road and beat his minor brother. An eyewitness recorded a video of the incident, during which she reacted by asking, "Nothing will happen."
The vendor had previously filed a complaint against Hina Sheikh and her gang at the Deccan Police Station. However, after the beating, when he went to report the crime and seek justice, he received no response and was rudely turned away by the Deccan Police.
