The Loni Kalbhor Police have taken stern action against bullets with modified silencers, seizing 22 of them, officials said on Friday.
Bikers reportedly replace or modify the factory-fitted exhaust systems on their bullets, causing the exhaust to emit noise far above the prescribed decibel limit. In most cases, bikers modify silencers to flaunt their motorcycles.
In response to multiple complaints from residents about the deafening noise from modified bike silencers, the Loni Kalbhor Police formed teams of four officers and 15 constables, assigning them to different areas within their jurisdiction.

As part of the crackdown, officials seized 22 bullets and removed the modified silencers. The vehicle owners were fined ₹25,000 each and directed to reinstall the original silencers.
Additionally, action was taken against vehicles without number plates. The owners were instructed to install proper plates before their vehicles were returned to them.
