The Pimpri-Chinchwad Police have successfully apprehended four individuals involved in a recent ₹14 lakh robbery targeting a cloth merchant in Kalewadi.

The arrested suspects are identified as Suhas Navnath Jogdand (22), Aditya Santosh Ghaytadak (21), Aman Ajim Sheikh (20), and Ganesh Bhunga Kamble (21).

On October 18, Mohandas Sirumal Tejwani (62), a cloth merchant residing in Vijay Nagar, Kalewadi, was returning home on his motorcycle with ₹14 lakh in cash around 6:30pm. As he approached Balaji Laws in Kalewadi, two unknown assailants on a motorcycle collided with Tejwani and forcibly snatched the bag containing the money.

Following the incident, the police initiated an investigation to identify the culprits. They identified the motorcycles used during the robbery and, after gathering additional information, located and arrested Jogdand and Ghaytak along with their motorcycle in Kalewadi.

Subsequent interrogations led to the identification and arrest of the remaining two suspects, Sheikh and Kambale. The police also recovered ₹10.40 lakh in cash and seized the motorcycles used in the crime.
