A large crowd of food enthusiasts gathered at the Pavanathadi Jatra in Pimpri Chinchwad to indulge in a variety of mouth-watering food items and shop for decorative items, clothing, women's jewelry, children's toys, fancy dresses, books, spices, and household goods. The fair also attracted numerous spectators who enjoyed special cultural performances.

The Pavanathadi Jatra, organized by the Social Welfare Department of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, is taking place at the PWD ground in Sangvi. On Saturday, February 22, at 6 pm, the cultural program kicked off with evergreen Hindi and Marathi songs, followed by several popular tracks in both languages.

The event was graced by Assistant Commissioner of the Social Development Department Tanaji Narle, Group Organizer Reshma Patil, Municipal Corporation employees, and many local citizens who enjoyed the performances.

The Pavanathadi Jatra also proved to be a food lover's paradise. A wide array of chicken, mutton, and fish dishes thrilled non-vegetarian attendees, while traditional vegetarian dishes from across Maharashtra were equally appreciated. Authentic regional dishes such as Kolhapuri Tambda-Pandhara Rassa, Malvani Curry, Vidarbha Jhunka-Bhakri, Puneri Misal, Khandeshi Eggplant Bharit, Konkani Coconut Rice, and Nagpuri Tarri Pohe added a special touch to the fair. Both local residents and visitors from nearby areas actively participated in the celebration of Maharashtra's rich culinary heritage.

Shekhar Singh, Commissioner and Administrator of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, stated, "The Pavanathadi is an annual event organised for the empowerment of women. We encourage city residents to attend the fair, which will run until Monday, February 24, and help financially empower the women of our city."

Held from February 21 to 24 at the PWD Ground in Sangvi, Pimpri-Chinchwad, the fair is providing a platform for women’s self-help groups and individual entrepreneurs to showcase their products. As always, the event is celebrating Maharashtrian culture, traditions, and craftsmanship. With a wide variety of delicious dishes to enjoy, the fair will conclude today, leaving attendees with fond memories of food, culture, and community.
