Nashik: Rs 6,000 Crore Ring Road Tender To Be Floated In Two Weeks, Says Minister Girish Mahajan

BJP Minister Girish Mahajan announced that the State Road Development Corporation will float a tender worth Rs 6,000 crores in the next two weeks to solve the traffic issues in Nashik. Apart from the Ring Road, he also said that all the necessary development works such as completion of main roads, air and rail facilities will be implemented before the Kumbh Mela.

Mahajan was speaking at the inauguration of the exhibition 'Nam: Nashik - Property Mahakumbh' organised by CREDAI Nashik Metro. Food and Civil Supplies Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, A. Seema Hire, A.Rahul Aher, CREDAI Nashik Metro President Gaurav Thakkar, Honorary Secretary Tushar Sanklecha, Expo Coordinator Hrishikesh Kote, and others. 

“This exhibition, organised from 14 to 18 August at Thakkar Dome in Nashik. It offers over 80 developers with more than 500 options under one roof and is an opportunity to fulfill the dream of owning your own home in the progressive city,” said CREDAI Nashik Metro President Gaurav Thakkar.

Mahajan said, “It is necessary to develop an environmentally friendly approach while implementing construction projects with proper facilities. Since increasing pollution is a matter of concern, he also advised construction professionals to be aware of it.”

Addressing the event, Bhujbal said, “The image of Nashik's construction professionals is good across the country and CREDAI's contribution in city development as well as many social activities is valuable. It is necessary to maintain continuity in this.”

“The development of the city should be done by taking care of the environment. It is especially important to keep Godavari clean and he expressed regret that even today, untreated sewage is being discharged into the Godavari basin,” Bhujbal added.

Thakkar emphasised that Nashik is moving towards becoming a global city and this Expo gives a glimpse of the future Nashik. He also expressed his intention to build the future Nashik with the participation of government, administration and citizens on the four pillars of industry, tourism, education and culture.
