A portable X-ray machine, provided by Mylan Company through its CSR Fund, was handed over to the District Tuberculosis Eradication Department under the National Tuberculosis Eradication Program. The dedication ceremony was held in the presence of Divisional Commissioner Dr Praveen Gedam and Chief Executive Officer of Zila Parishad Ashima Mittal.

After inspecting the equipment, Dr. Praveen Gedam advised health officials to ensure the effective use of the portable X-ray machine in remote areas to enhance healthcare services.

Pulmonary tuberculosis testing typically involves sputum analysis and chest X-rays. However, in remote areas lacking X-ray facilities, this portable machine will greatly aid the Tuberculosis Eradication Department and the Health Department. Weighing just three kilograms, the machine is easy to transport and is equipped with charging and battery backup, allowing health workers to use it efficiently in inaccessible regions.

The ceremony was attended by District Health Officer Dr. Sudharkar More, District Tuberculosis Officer Dr. Ravindra Chaudhary, Additional District Health Officer Dr. Rajendra Bagul, District Mother and Child Welfare Officer Dr. Harshal Nehete, Assistant District Health Officer Dr. Deepak Lone, and Mylan Company representative Anish.
