Jalgaon: During a press conference today, Shiv Sena (Thackeray Faction) leader and MP Sanjay Raut praised the manner in which the Nashik Police and the SIT are investigating the case against Ashok Kharat, the individual from Nashik accused of practising charlatanism, as well as the firm stance taken by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis regarding this matter. However, he declined to comment further on the subject at this time.
When questioned about the Ashok Kharat case, MP Sanjay Raut stated that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who also holds the portfolio of Home Minister, has adopted an extremely strict stance regarding the case involving the alleged charlatan, Ashok Kharat. Furthermore, Nashik Superintendent of Police Sandeep Karnik has conducted a commendable investigation into the matter. The SIT, the Home Department, and the Nashik Police are responsible for determining who is guilty and who is not. Speaking at the press conference, Shiv Sena leader MP Sanjay Raut expressed the view that he would address this subject once the entire investigation is complete and the chargesheet has been filed; commenting on the matter today, he noted, would not be appropriate.
Stating that he had visited Jalgaon for the purpose of strengthening the party's organisational structure, Raut reminded party workers that, while the Lok Sabha elections are still three years away, preparations must begin immediately, thereby galvanising their mindset for the upcoming political battle. Raut pointed out that unseasonal rains have lashed the Jalgaon district for the past two days, causing devastation to agricultural lands and resulting in widespread damage to crops. Despite this dire situation, neither the Guardian Minister nor the government have extended any words of sympathy or concern to the affected farmers. Furthermore, no visible steps appear to have been taken by the district's MLAs to press the government for compensation or to ensure that immediate relief reaches the farmers. Raut asserted that this government is insensitive, adding that the ministers currently serving in the administration have become completely devoid of empathy.
Questioning the whereabouts of these "crisis managers" during times of distress for farmers, Raut asked whether Mahajan serves merely as a political crisis manager. He observed that whenever farmers face crises, these individuals are nowhere to be seen taking action; instead, he asked, while simultaneously criticising the district police administration, is the sole function of a "crisis manager" limited to engineering the downfall of MLAs, poaching corporators, and splitting political parties? Raut asserted that a state of "political dictatorship" currently prevails in the district, specifically a "dictatorship in police uniform." He alleged that the Guardian Minister and MLAs belonging to the ruling party are utilising the police machinery to suppress their political opponents.
