Taking a tough stance on the issues of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) employees, the state government's Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Chhagan Bhujbal asserted, "We are ready to take on anyone for the issues of the poor employees. We are with the ST Employees' Association in this fight, and will hold a meeting of the Chief Minister with the office bearers of the organisation and colleagues in the cabinet to resolve the issues of the employees."
He was speaking at the state-level gathering organised on the occasion of the Maharashtra State Anniversary of 'Seva Shakti Sangharsh ST Employees' Association' at the Dadasaheb Gaikwad Hall in Nashik. Minister Chhagan Bhujbal presided over the gathering.

On this occasion, Minister Girish Mahajan, former minister MLA Sadabhau Khot, MLA Gopichand Padalkar, MLA Devyani Farande, MLA Seema Hire, BJP city president Sunil Kedar, Laxman Savji, Yatin Kadam, Girish Palve, Sudhakar Badgujar, Satish Metkari, Bhaulal Tambde, Venkatesh More, Padmashree Raje, Anup Khairnar, Rahul Arote, along with office bearers of Seva Shakti Sangharsh ST Employees Association and a large number of ST employees were present on the platform.
Speaking on this occasion, Minister Chhagan Bhujbal said that this organisation is working for Seva Shakti and Sangharsh under the leadership of MLA Gopichand Padalkar and former minister Sadabhau Khot. He said that where injustice occurs, these leaders always work in front. They are fighting the issues of common workers as their own issues. ST employees are working to continue this service uninterruptedly even in very difficult conditions, in harsh weather and with inadequate facilities, their contribution is very important.
Bhujbal underlined that no public transport system in the world is profitable. ST is a public service. It is an important channel to serve the poor. Therefore, we cannot wait for this service institution to become profitable. Necessary provisions will have to be made for ST to serve the people.
There is a need to provide good buses to ST employees, and there is also a need to plan for the health care of employees. Employees must get a fair salary. For this, Bhujbal assured that we will discuss this issue in the legislature and the cabinet and resolve it.
