On Wednesday evening, a 19-year-old boy who had come to shop with his father at the Panchavati vegetable market in Nashik was beaten to death by some people over a petty dispute. This incident happened in front of everyone on the Gadge Maharaj Bridge, creating an atmosphere of fear among citizens.

According to the police, Nandlal alias Suraj Jagankumar Das (19), a resident of Pardeshi Bhavan on Sitagunpha Road, had come to the weekly market with his father for shopping around 7pm. While he was going with his father from the washroom in front of Gadge Maharaj Bridge, a group of goons came there and started arguing over money for no reason. After an argument between Das and the goons, the group attacked Nandlal and beat him with a rod.

Nandlal suffered a serious head injury in the attack and collapsed on the spot due to bleeding. After that, the goons dispersed. His father Jagankumar and some local residents immediately admitted him to the district hospital for treatment. However, the doctors declared him dead after examining him. Based on the complaint of Jagankumar Das, the city police have registered a case against the gang, and further investigation is underway.
