In a shocking incident, a man killed his mother-in-law by slitting her throat with a sharp weapon over the outrage of not sending his wife to him. The incident occurred at Bajrangnagar in Naigaon taluka on Wednesday night. The Ramthirth Police have arrested the accused son-in-law.
According to the details, Laxman Raipanwad, a resident of Bajrangnagar, had married his daughter to Ashok Kisan Dhotre, a resident of Nanded. However, Dhotre used to torture his wife, Ujwalla, physically and mentally for the past year. Hence, her mother, Parubai Laxman Raipanwad, brought her and her two children back to Bajrangnagar.
A few days back, Dhotre came to Raipanwad’s house to take his wife and children back, but Parubai refused to send her daughter and grandchildren, upsetting Dhotre, who returned empty-handed.
On Wednesday at around 6pm, he returned to Raipanwad’s house in an inebriated condition and started quarrelling with Parubai. In a fit of rage, he took a sharp weapon from his pocket and slit Parubai’s throat. Parubai fell to the ground and died.
The nearby residents informed the Ramtirth Police about the incident. The police rushed to the spot and arrested Dhotre and his accomplice.
