Jalgaon: The Stamp and Registration Department in the district has achieved a new record, registering 1,10,502 documents across its 20 offices between April 2025 and March 31, 2026. During the same period, the department generated revenue of ₹337.70 crore for the state government, District Joint Registrar Mandar Kulkarni informed to FPJ.
At present, 20 offices of the Joint Registrar Department are functioning in Jalgaon district, including three within Jalgaon city. These offices handle registration of property-related documents such as sale deeds, gift deeds, mortgage deeds, and other agreements.
Officials said the number of document registrations has been rising steadily over the years, along with the revenue collected. In 2023, a total of 88,747 documents were registered, generating ₹232 crore in revenue. In 2024, 87,359 registrations brought in ₹336 crore, while in 2025, 97,455 documents generated ₹392 crore. In 2025–26, the district recorded its highest-ever figure of 1,10,502 registrations, with revenue of ₹337.70 crore.
On March 31, the last day of the financial year, there was a heavy rush at Sub-Registrar offices across the district. Many citizens came forward to complete pending transactions. A total of 302 documents were registered in a single day, generating ₹1.13 crore in revenue.
To manage the rush, officers and staff of the Registration and Stamp Duty Department worked late into the night to ensure smooth processing of documents.
