Ghoti Roundabout Turns Deadly: Nashik Residents Demand Urgent Safety Measures

The number of accidents at the intersection near the Ghoti Highway Police Station on the Mumbai-Nashik Highway is increasing day by day. In the last month, many minor and major accidents have taken place here, leaving one person dead and many residents seriously injured. To draw attention to this serious problem, Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) Deputy District Chief Mohan Barhe, City President Bhushan Jadhav, Aleem Galleria, Prathamesh Gode, Anuj Loya, Yogesh Bhadange, Santosh Bafna and others gave information at a press conference.

The Ghoti Highway Police Station has written to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) several times in this regard. However, no concrete action has been taken yet. Due to this, there is a strong anger among local residents and leaders over the inaction of the authority.

"If the administration does not take immediate action, there is a possibility of more loss of life. If our demands are not accepted, we will have to take the path of agitation," said a local residents.

The series of accidents on the Ghoti roundabout has now become a serious problem. The National Highways Authority of India needs to pay immediate attention to the demands of the residents and the police and take appropriate measures. Otherwise, innocent residents will have to pay the price of the administration's inaction by losing their lives.

Major causes of accidents

Darkness at night: Due to the lack of adequate lighting in the area, drivers face difficulties at night.

Lack of speed breakers: There are no speed bumps or speed breakers to control the speeding vehicles.

Blinker lights that are out of order: The blinker lights on the roundabout are in a damaged condition and are not functional.

Residents' demands

Speed breakers or high speed bumps should be installed on the roundabout immediately.

High mast lights should be installed in the area to remove the darkness of the night.

Faulty blinker lights should be repaired and made operational immediately.
