In a shocking incident in Pune, a senior police inspector was caught on camera kicking and slapping a private bus driver. The video of this incident, which took place on March 28, has gone viral on social media.

According to the information received, the senior police inspector has been identified as Mahesh Bolkotgi and the incident took place near Yerawada Chowk.
After the video went viral, The Free Press Journal spoke with Bolkotgi. He said, "The private buses are violating the rules and parking the buses in spots designated for government buses, leading to severe traffic jams on the road. Regarding the matter, action has been taken against him under relevant section of the Motor Vehicle Act."
Concerning the video, he asserted, "The video has been tampered with by some people."
