Dacoits conducted an armed dacoity in the Parava area near Parbhani city and gang raped a 45-year-old woman on January 2. The police on Monday arrested one of the accused in this connection from Waluj area in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Special IGP of the Nanded range Shahji Umap announced a cash prize of Rs 25,000 for the investigation team.
Around four to five dacoits conducted an armed dacoity on January 2 in a house in Parava. They gang raped a 45-year-old woman in the house and took away valuables worth Rs 2 lakh. Three persons victim, her husband and others were admitted in the hospital in an injured condition next morning. A case against five unidentified dacoits were registered with the Parbhani rural police. The police administration established nine teams for the investigation of the case.
The team including PI Shrikant Dongare, Raju Mutepad, Sugriv Kendre, Nilesh Bhujbal, Shankar Gaikwad, Kishor Chavan and others investigated and arrested one accused of the dacoity from Waluj in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The police are now working for arresting the other accused.
