The first semester examination of the degree courses of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) began on Tuesday. In a shocking revelation, it has been found that the examination forms of 8,848 students are still pending due to non-payment of examination fees. These students were allowed to give the examination without hall tickets on the condition of paying the examination fees by December 21.
The director of the Board of Examination and Evaluation, Dr. Bharti Gawali, said that the first semester examinations of the degree courses as per the new education policy (NEP) have started, and the colleges have still not submitted the examination forms of 8,848 students to the examination department. Those students whose examination forms were received by December 15 have had their hall tickets generated and are appearing for the examination.
Exam began on Dec 17
The examination for all the degree courses of the first semester began on December 17. There are, in total, 84,183 students appearing for the examinations across 268 home centres. Students from colleges that have paid the examination fees to the university have been provided with hall tickets. However, some colleges had only submitted the examination forms and had not paid the examination fees through the online system. These students will be allowed to appear for the examination on the condition that the fees are paid by December 21, according to university sources.
