The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has issued an important notice regarding a water supply disruption impacting several neighborhoods in Pune on Thursday. The disruption is a result of essential maintenance work at key water treatment plants. While water supply is expected to resume on Friday, residents should anticipate reduced pressure and potential delays.
The maintenance activities will be carried out at Warje Water Treatment Plant, Chaturshringi Plant, and Pune Cantonment Water Treatment Plant. As a result, various neighborhoods will experience interruptions, including Kothrud, Karvenagar, Warje, Shivane, Bhusari Colony, Shivtirthanagar, Senapati Bapat Road, Model Colony, Deccan, and Pulachi Wadi.
Moreover, localities such as Shivajinagar, Aundh, Baner, Nagar Road, Kharadi, Chandannagar, Hadapsar, Mundhwa, Mohammadwadi, Sasanenagar, and Kalepadal will also face water supply disruptions.
PMC has further confirmed that water supply to Yerwada, Bibvewadi, Balajinagar, Indiranagar, the Taljai area, and portions of Katraj will be temporarily halted.
The PMC has underlined the critical importance of these maintenance activities, which are geared towards enhancing the durability and efficiency of the water treatment plants. This, in turn, will guarantee a sustained and superior water supply for the city's residents over the long run.
