Police officers and personnel serving in the Pune City Police Force under the Police Commissionerate are always on duty for tasks such as bandobast, polls, morchas, sessions, etc. They and their family members constantly remain under stress.
In 2024, the Lok Sabha and State Assembly elections were held. The police were deployed on bandobast duty or on VVIP tours. Therefore, the Police Commissionerate has conceptualized 'Tarang 2025: Kartavy Ani Sanskruticha Sanman, Sangitmay Utsahacha Abhiman (Honouring Duty and Culture, Pride of Musical Enthusiasm),' an entertainment programme for police officials and personnel so that they can spend some moments of leisure with their families in an enthusiastic atmosphere.
The programme will be held from 5:30pm to 10pm on February 15 at the Police Headquarters in Shivajinagar, Pune. The programme has been sponsored by Punit Balan Group (PBG) President Punit Balan.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will be the Chief Guest at Tarang 2025. Deputy CM and District Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar, Union Minister of State for Cooperation and Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol, State Higher and Technical Education and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Chandrakant Patil, and Minister of State for Urban Development, Transport, Social Justice, Medical Education, Minority Development and Aukaf Madhuri Misal will be present.
The Ajay-Atul Live Musical Evening will be held under Tarang 2025. Cine stars from the Marathi and Hindi film industry will grace the occasion. All members of Peace Committees and Mohalla Committees, other VIPs, and editors and reporters from all print and electronic media have been invited.
