Lucknow, January 26: On the occasion of the 76th Republic Day, Governor Anandiben Patel hoisted the national flag at the parade ground of Vidhan Bhavan. CM Yogi Adityanath was also present during the ceremony.
The event witnessed an impressive display of patriotism as contingents from the military, paramilitary forces, police, PAC, NCC, and other organizations saluted the Governor. The program also included vibrant tableaux presented by various departments and schools, captivating the audience.
After flag hoisting, flowers were showered over Vidhan Bhavan from a helicopter, adding a special touch to the celebrations. The national anthem followed, creating a solemn and patriotic atmosphere.
Tanks led the salutes to the Governor, followed by contingents of the military and paramilitary forces. The impressive march past of the soldiers on the brass band’s tune drew loud applause from the audience, thrilling everyone present.
A large number of spectators gathered at the parade ground to enjoy the event. The program featured colorful tableaux from government departments such as the Information and Public Relations Department, Lucknow Development Authority, and the Agriculture Department, as well as various schools. Adding to the festivities, children from city schools showcased cultural programs that were well-received by the audience.
During the event, CM Yogi interacted with children, who took selfies with him. The CM, delighted to be among them, distributed toffees and shared cheerful conversations with the young attendees.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia, Additional Chief Secretary to the CM SP Goyal, and Principal Secretary Home Sanjay Prasad.
