Lonely Planet Magazine India celebrates the best in travel with the Lonely Planet Magazine India Travel Awards 2016 – complete list of award winners
The most trusted source in travel is back toacknowledge and honour the best in travel andtourism this year. Now in its fifth year, the Lonely Planet Magazine India Travel Awards 2016 aims to present not only the most coveted, but also the most relevant awards in the Indian travel industry. It is a people’s choice awards, where readers vote for their favourite travel experiences based on nominations shortlisted by a panel of travel experts and professionals.
The expert panel this year comprises Vardhan Kondvikar – Editor, Lonely Planet Magazine India;Manu Kashyap – Director, Windmill Holidays;SunilaPatil–Co-Founder & Director, Veena World;MadhavanMenon– Chairman & Managing Director, Thomas Cook India;SuchetaPotnis& Hans Tuinman– Founders, www.travellers-palm.com; Deep Kalra – Founder & CEO, MakeMyTrip, and Vishal Suri – Managing Director, Kuoni India.

The ceremony this year was hosted by India’s most sought-after master of ceremonies, the TV/Radio host and voice-over professional SiddharthKannan, and the event was held at the St Regis, Mumbai, on Monday, May 9, 2016, 7pm onwards.
The awards saw the who’swho from the travel and entertainment industry presenting the awards and joining the winners of 2016.
