Haridwar: Patanjali has once again demonstrated that even the most serious diseases can be treated through Ayurveda when combined with modern science. A recent study conducted by Patanjali has confirmed that Cardiogrit Gold, a herbo-mineral formulation developed by Patanjali scientists, can effectively counteract the cardiotoxicity caused by Doxorubicin, a widely used chemotherapy drug.
On this occasion, Acharya Balkrishna stated that this research not only establishes the scientific relevance of Ayurveda on the global stage but also proves that if traditional medical systems are tested through a scientific lens, they can offer solutions to even the most complex challenges in modern medicine.
Cardiogrit Gold is made using classical Ayurvedic ingredients such as Yogendra Ras, Arjuna, Moti Pishti, Akik Pishti, and other herbs and mineral-based preparations traditionally recognized for their efficacy in heart-related ailments.
Acharya Balkrishna further said that this study is not only a result of the tireless efforts of Patanjali’s scientists, but it also symbolizes the revival of India’s eternal medical science – Ayurveda. At a time when the entire world is eager to embrace the ancient Ayurvedic tradition, this research reinforces that faith and gives people a compelling reason to adopt Ayurveda.
This study is a significant step toward the renaissance of Ayurveda, and it demonstrates that the integration of tradition and science is a priceless gift to humanity.
The study, conducted using the C. elegans model, confirmed that Cardiogrit Gold improved food intake in the organisms, enhanced the condition of heart-like muscles, reduced ROS (Reactive Oxygen Species) levels, and significantly improved body length and reproductive capacity. The medicine also reduced Doxorubicin levels in these organisms, validating its effectiveness in mitigating cardiotoxicity.
This research has been published in the prestigious international journal, the Journal of Toxicology, by Wiley Publications.
