Woman raped for 10 months

Mumbai: A 27-year-old woman from Sindhudurg was threatened and raped by her family friend for 10 months at his place in Sewri. The survivor had arrived from Sindhudurg was living with the accused’s family as they belonged to the same village. She used to do the housework for the family. Since her arrival, accused Ganesh Savankar (39) raped multiple times. Fed up of his constant advances, she finally lodged a complaint in the R A K Marg police station in Sewri on Tuesday, a statement said.
