Western Railway has launched a convenient facility for passengers to book unreserved tickets up to three days in advance for journeys exceeding 200 km in the non-suburban section.
"This initiative aims to reduce the rush and queues at ticket counters, particularly during peak travel seasons such as Holi, Diwali, Summer/Winter vacations, Christmas, and other holidays" said an official adding that passengers can avail of this facility at all Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS) counters, ensuring convenience and ease of ticketing.
According to Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, this facility is especially beneficial for passengers traveling long distances, as it allows them to plan their journeys and also purchase tickets in advance. It will bring relief to passengers during peak travel seasons.
"Western Railway urges passengers to take advantage of this advance booking facility to avoid last-minute rush at UTS booking windows and enjoy a hassle-free journey" he said.
