Mumbai: Continuous heavy rainfall since Sunday night has led to long traffic jams on the busy Mumbai-Thane road, especially near Anand Nagar in Thane on Monday morning. The rainfall, which began around midnight on June 15, has continued through the early hours of June 16, causing slow-moving traffic and road congestion in several areas.

The Godhbunder Road near Anand Nagar, one of the busiest stretches connecting Thane and Mumbai, is severely affected. A video circulating online shows vehicles, from cars to buses, lined up, barely moving due to the heavy downpour on the streets. Emergency Numbers Shared by Mumbai Police:

For any emergency, people can dial 100, 112, or 103. The police have shared these helpline numbers on social media to ensure that Mumbaikars can reach out for quick assistance during the rainfall emergency. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued a heavy rain alert for Mumbai and its suburbs, warning citizens to take necessary precautions and avoid non-essential travel.
