Mumbai: Mumbai witnessed a vibrant anti-drug rally on Saturday, organised by the Nashabandi Mandal, Maharashtra State. The event drew active participation from political leaders, Bollywood celebrities, women, students, and children, all coming together to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse.
In the video footage from the rally, participants are seen holding banners with messages like "Be Smart, Don’t Start," promoting drug-free lifestyles. The event highlighted the collective effort of various sections of society, including women and young people, emphasising the importance of community involvement in combating drug addiction.

In another news story, NCB, RPF arrest Nigerian woman with cocaine & meth worth Rs 36 crore on Mangla Express. A coordinated operation conducted by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Bangalore, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) Panvel, and the Crime Intelligence Branch (CIB) of RPF Kurla led to the apprehension of a foreign national carrying a large quantity of narcotics onboard Train No. 12618 Mangla Express on Friday, with an estimated value of around Rs 36 crore.
"Acting on credible intelligence received by NCB Bangalore about possible drug smuggling on the Mangla Express, the information was quickly relayed to Rishi Shukla, Senior Divisional Security Commissioner (Coordination), Central Railway, Mumbai Division," as per an official of CR.
He added, under his supervision, a high-alert team was mobilised, comprising NCB officers Murari Lal and Madhusudhan Vishwakarma, along with RPF officials Anjani Babar (Panvel), Satish Kumar Yadav and Naveen Singh (CIB Kurla), Prahlad Singh, Prahlad Patil, Jyoti Kushwah, and Dhirendra Yadav."
The team intercepted the train as it arrived at Platform No. 7 of Panvel Railway Station and conducted a targeted search. They identified a Nigerian woman in Coach A-2, Seat No. 27, who was travelling with an infant and carrying a multicoloured travel bag. She introduced herself as Etumudon Doris, holding Nigerian Passport No. A06895991, and stated that the child, named “Miracle,” was hers.
