Upcoming Mumbai Infrastructure Projects Set For 2025 Aim To Transform The 'Maximum City'; Check Out List

The Maharashtra government is determined to develop and improve the infrastructure and ease travel for citizens in the city while also beautifying it more than ever. Numerous projects are currently in progress, approaching completion, and a few of them are expected to be launched and made available for public use by mid or late 2025.

Here are several significant projects that are set to be inaugurated this year:

Navi Mumbai International Airport

Navi Mumbai International Airport is presently being built and is anticipated to be functional by 2025. The airport will feature two runways, a terminal structure, and cargo handling services. Navi Mumbai International Airport Limited (NMIAL) will develop it, and its initial phase will accommodate 10 million passengers each year.

Samruddhi Mahamarg

Samruddhi Mahamarg is a 701-kilometer-long highway that will connect Mumbai and Nagpur. The project is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by 2025. The highway will have six lanes and will reduce travel time between Mumbai and Nagpur.

Goregaon-Mulund Link Road

The Goregaon-Mulund Link Road is a 5.5-kilometer-long road that will connect Goregaon and Mulund. The project is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by 2025. The road will have six lanes and will reduce travel time between Goregaon and Mulund.

Panvel-Karjat Rail Corridor

The Panvel-Karjat rail corridor is a 33-kilometer-long rail line that will connect Panvel and Karjat. The project is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by 2025. The rail line will have double tracks and will reduce travel time between Panvel and Karjat.

Mumbai Metro Line 3

Mumbai Metro Line 3 is a 33.5-kilometer-long metro line that will connect Aarey to Worli. The project is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by 2025. The metro line will have 27 stations and will reduce travel time between Colaba and Bandra.
