UBT Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray will travel to Delhi on August 6 to participate in the INDIA alliance meeting. He is scheduled to stay in the national capital until August 8 and is expected to hold discussions with key leaders of the opposition alliance.

Meeting gains importance after Rahul Gandhi’s claims
The meeting holds special significance in light of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent allegations against the Election Commission of India. Gandhi has claimed to possess strong evidence that the Commission supported the ruling party during the recent elections. He also issued a stern warning to election officials allegedly involved in malpractice. In response, the Election Commission has firmly denied the allegations and instructed its officers to ignore such statements and focus on their duties.

Raut slams Fadnavis over Dubey protection remark
Thackeray’s visit was confirmed on Sunday by UBT MP Sanjay Raut, who made the announcement while launching a scathing attack on Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Raut strongly criticized Fadnavis for his statement assuring protection to BJP MP Nishikant Dubey if he visits Mumbai. "We are ready to become violent over the Marathi issue. Do whatever you want. Our ancestors gave their lives for the cause of Marathi. Are you going to shoot us like the 108 martyrs of the Samyukta Maharashtra movement?" Raut questioned.

Accuses BJP of ignoring Maharashtra MPs
He further accused the BJP-led government of showing preferential treatment to outsiders like Nishikant Dubey while neglecting the interests of elected representatives from Maharashtra. "They will roll out the red carpet for Dubey but won’t even consider the voices of Maharashtra’s own MPs," Raut alleged.
