BMC is all set to hire a total of 282 medical and multipurpose staff for the hospital and will have 99 nursing staff and 68 doctors

Mumbai : The Hinduhridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Trauma Care Municipal Hospital located at Jogeshwari (E) is all set for the inauguration on October 21. The hospital will have 304 beds and shall be well-equipped with multiple facilities.

The total number of beds in the trauma ward will be 15 and the casualty, neuro and surgery ward will have 20 beds in total. The dialysis center is to have strength of 15 beds.
Besides, the HBTTCM Hospital is set to have 30 separate rooms with beds and attached toilets for patients willing to pay more but the charges shall be affordable for the middle-class.
The intensive care unit (ICU) facility will also be provided to the patients. Total strength of the MICU room is to be 41.
The HBTTCM Hospital will comprise of specialty wards like surgery, orthopedic, pediatric, ENT, ophthalmology along with gynecology and obstetrician wards. The hospital will also cater to the need of the burns victim with a specialised unit of 13 beds to be opened on the set date. The total strength of the specialty ward is going to be 188.
The HBTTCM Hospital will also provide diagnostic and other major facilities like casualty, X-ray, laboratories, sonography, CT scan, MRI, physiotherapy and ambulance. The hospital will have 6 modular operation theatres.

In next few months, the peripheral areas of city is set to have a trauma ward in every major hospital like VN Desai in Santacruz, RN Copper in Juhu, Bhabha Hospital in Kurla and Rajawadi in Ghatkopar. A total of 55 trauma beds will be available in the peripheral hospitals.
