Thane: A tanker driver who was stuck in the tanker after losing control of the tanker and colliding with another vehicle on the road in Thane at 1:30 AM on Tuesday. No casualties or injuries have been reported.
The driver has been identified as Omprakash Yadav. The tanker carried aniline chemical. The incident occurred at Kalyan Phata near the Shil area in Thane on Tuesday at 1:30 AM when the tanker was traveling from Gujarat to Kalyan and collided with another vehicle coming from the same direction.
Following the information about the accident, RDMC officials promptly rushed along with a fire tender and an emergency vehicle to the spot. The response team found that the bonnet of the tanker was mangled and the driver was stuck. They then first began to rescue the driver. Due to the accident, the traffic snarl was reported for hours.

Yasin Tadvi, the chief of the Regional Disaster Management Cell of the Thane Municipal Corporation, said that aniline chemical was stored in the tanker and it was not dangerous. With the help of a hydra machine, the tanker was removed within an hour and a half. The traffic was reportedly cleared slowly.
