Thane: A 28-year-old biker died after being hit by a truck in Bhiwandi on Sunday night. The driver fled the scene after leaving the truck at the spot. The deceased has been identified as Sanket Pandhrinath Patil, a resident of Khoni village in Bhiwandi.

The incident occurred near Talavli village when Patil was riding his motorcycle towards the area for some work. A speeding truck reportedly hit him at a turning point, causing him to fall onto the road and suffer serious injuries.
Bystanders rushed to the scene and immediately alerted the police. Patil was taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Bhiwandi, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
FIR Registered Under BNS and Motor Vehicles Act; Probe On
An FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Motor Vehicles Act. According to the police, the truck driver fled the scene after the accident. The truck has been seized, and a police team has launched a manhunt for the absconding driver.
