Thane Tragedy: 21-Year-Old Man Dies After Drowning In Pankhanda Dam

The incident occurred around 5:52 p.m. at Pankhanda Dam in Pabkhada village, Ovala. According to the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) of the Thane Municipal Corporation, Tejas had entered the water for a swim when he misjudged the depth and drowned.

A 21-year-old man drowned while swimming in the Pankhanda Dam in Thane on Monday evening. The victim, identified as Tejas Dughwade, was a resident of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar in Aurangabad. He had come to Ovala in Thane to visit relatives.

The incident occurred around 5:52 p.m. at Pankhanda Dam in Pabkhada village, Ovala. According to the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) of the Thane Municipal Corporation, Tejas had entered the water for a swim when he misjudged the depth and drowned.

Upon seeing him struggling in the water, bystanders managed to pull him out. The RDMC and police were immediately informed. Tejas was rushed to a private hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

An Accidental Death Report (ADR) has been registered at Kasarvadavali police station, and further investigation is underway.
