A major fire broke out at a private coaching class in Bhiwandi on Tuesday evening. Fire officials stated that no injuries or casualties were reported.
According to officials, the incident occurred on the second floor of Gurudev Shopping Plaza, located in Bazarpeth, while over 50 students were in the classroom. As the fire erupted, all students immediately rushed out of the classroom and evacuated the building. However, a few students moved to the third floor, where they became trapped.

Upon receiving information about the fire, the fire department dispatched two fire engines to the site. The fire was successfully brought under control. A team initially extinguished the fire in the staircase area, accessed the building, and safely rescued the students from the third floor.
Shrikant Pardeshi, PRO of the Bhiwandi Nizampura City Municipal Corporation, said, "The cause of the fire is suspected to be a short circuit. The fire department is conducting an investigation, and strict action will be taken against those found guilty during the inquiry. The area has been sealed off until further notice."
