Thane: A major fire broke out on the second floor of HyperCity Mall, located in Kasarvadavali on Ghodbunder Road in Thane (West) on Tuesday. According to the Disaster Management Control Room, the blaze erupted around 7:56 am today. The fire reportedly broke out at the Puma Factory Outlet store at the mall.
The incident was first reported by an individual, Mukesh Mishra, who alerted authorities through his mobile phone. The Thane Disaster Management Unit promptly dispatched personnel to the scene, accompanied by one pickup vehicle, while the Fire Brigade deployed one rescue vehicle, one fire tender, and a high-rise fire vehicle to combat the blaze.

Fire Doused Off In 2 Hours
Kasarvadavali police officials and staff were also present at the site, coordinating efforts with the disaster management and firefighting teams. Intense operations were undertaken to bring the fire under control. The fire was doused off around 9:15 am.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, and no casualties have been reported so far. Authorities prioritised containment to prevent the fire from spreading further, leading to a successful operation.

Yasin Tadvi, the chief of the Regional Disaster Management Cell of the Thane Municipal Corporation, said, "We received information from a local that a fire broke out in a shoe outlet on the first floor of the Hyper City Mall. We dispatched four fire engines, one pickup, and one rescue vehicle. The fire was brought under control by 9 AM."
An official from RDMC, the fire department personnel extinguished the fire at the 1,525 square feet shoe outlet on the first floor of the mall within one hour. Thereafter, the cooling operation began after extinguishing the fire. The cause of the fire has yet to be ascertained. Fire officials were conducting the panchnama.
