On Saturday night, a kitchen fire broke out at the Star Movie Cinema in the High Street Mall in Kapurbawdi area of Thane, at around 11 PM.
Footage from the scene showed flames licking the outer facade of the building. Firefighters were rushed to the scene, and managed to put out the blaze.
Although no injuries were reported in the mall itself, four firefighters were admitted to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital in Kalwa, after they experienced breathing difficulties, likely due to smoke inhalation.
