Thane Crime Branch Arrests 2 For Allegedly Breaking Wall, Stealing 26 Laptops Worth ₹24 Lakh In Bhiwandi

The Thane Crime Branch Unit Two arrested two suspects for allegedly breaking a wall using a chisel and hammer and fleeing with valuables. The suspects were identified as Dilip Chavan, 20, and Arjun Rathod, 23, who are originally from Karnataka.

Thane: The Thane Crime Branch Unit Two arrested two suspects for allegedly breaking a wall using a chisel and hammer and fleeing with valuables. The suspects were identified as Dilip Chavan, 20, and Arjun Rathod, 23, who are originally from Karnataka.

An FIR has been registered against unknown persons at Narpoli police under sections 303(2), 331(2), 331(4) of Bharatiya Nayay Sanhita on March 7. Subsequently investigation has been launched.

According to the police, a team of police personnel was formed, and with the help of technical intelligence and by analyzing the CCTV footage installed in the nearby locality, they apprehended the accused in Bhiwandi. They confiscated a total of 26 laptops and a motorcycle worth over ₹24 lakh from the possession of the accused.

During the investigation, it was learned that they had a modus operandi in which they made a recce of the areas, broke the wall of the warehouse using a chisel and hammer, and decamped with the valuables. However, an FIR for house breaking has already been registered against them at the Bhiwandi Taluka Police Station.
