Thane Crime: 65-Year-Old Man Booked For Biting Neighbour’s Finger During Table Installation Dispute In Housing Society

A 65-year-old has allegedly bitten a 45-year-old man's finger over a dispute regarding the installation of a table or bench near the wall of the society in Thane. The accused is identified as Santosh alias Satish Lokare, 65, a resident of Sneha Society in Thane.

Thane: A 65-year-old has allegedly bitten a 45-year-old man's finger over a dispute regarding the installation of a table or bench near the wall of the society in Thane. The accused is identified as Santosh alias Satish Lokare, 65, a resident of Sneha Society in Thane.

The injured is identified as Vishal Deore, 45, who lives with his family in Sneha Society in Shivai Nagar, Thane. The incident took place in the society on Sunday evening when the accused, Lokare, opposed Deware's attempt to install a table near the compound wall.

As per the FIR, on the date of the incident, the victim was at home and called a welder to the society because a table was obstructing vehicles coming and going. Meanwhile, a Lokare approached and opposed the work, starting a heated argument with him while using filthy language.

In response to the accused Lokare's actions, the victim warned him. In a fit of anger, he allegedly bit the victim's index finger. As a result, a part of the index finger was severed, and meanwhile, the weldor intervened to sort things out. He alerted family members, and the victim was taken to the hospital, where his treatment wad one. He discharged after medical treatment.

On the Deore's complaint, an FIR has been lodged against him under sections 117(2), 115(2), and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The victims Deore spoke with at the FPJ stated that doctors suggested to rest for three days. Now the accused has not been arrested by the police. He still lives in society.

Prameshwar Gawhane, a police sub-inspector from Vartak Nagar police station, said, "We have registered an FIR against the accused. So far, no arrests have been made yet. During the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the victim showed him a finger over a table and a bench installation dispute between them, which resulted in the accused getting angry and biting his finger."
