Bhayandar : On the concluding day of week-long ‘Anti-Corruption Vigilance Awareness Campaign’, a Talathi landed into the custody of Anti Corruption Bureau’s Thane unit while accepting the bribe of Rs 10,000.
According to the ACB, the complainant had approached local Tehsil office in Bhayandar (west) to make mutation entry of his relative’s name into the land record of Murdha village. However, talathi Sanjay Patange demanded Rs.15,000 from him for the same. Aggrieved complainant lodged a complaint with the ACB which a trap and caught Patange red handed while accepting Rs.10,000 at Tehsil office at 3:40 pm on Monday.
