Mumbai: The conclusion ceremony of the Glorious Maharashtra Festival 2025 was initiated today by Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) State President and Member of Parliament Sunil Tatkare, by paying homage at the memorial of Maharashtra’s first Chief Minister late Yashwantrao Chavan.
The 65th anniversary of Glorious Maharashtra was celebrated over three days in Mumbai with various events organized by the NCP. The festival will conclude on May 23 with ceremonies held in Karad and Mahad.
Tatkare first paid tribute at the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Datt Chowk in Karad, followed by a visit to Chavan's memorial. He then visited “VIRANGULA”, the residence of Yashwantrao Chavan, and reviewed an exhibition based on his life.
On this occasion, several dignitaries were present including NCP Women State President Rupalitai Chakankar, Youth State President Suraj Chavan, State General Secretary Latif Tamboli, former MLA Naik, Social Cell State President Sunil Magre, OBC Cell State President Kalyan Akhade, Student State President Prashant Kadam, Satara District President Balasaheb Solaskar, Youth District President Prithviraj Godse, Vice President Manoj Deshmukh, along with other party officials and a large number of workers.
