Passengers faced chaos and frustration at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport after a SpiceJet flight to Dubai was delayed by more than 10 hours, triggering a protest inside the terminal.

The flight, originally scheduled to depart at 1:50 am, was delayed due to technical issues, according to the airline’s initial communication. However, as hours passed with no further updates or clarity on the new departure time, tensions among passengers began to rise.

Several travellers alleged that SpiceJet failed to provide basic amenities such as food and water during the prolonged wait. Many also complained of a lack of coordination and support from the airline’s ground staff, which added to their distress.

Frustrated and exhausted, passengers staged a protest inside the airport terminal. Videos circulating on social media show crowds of angry travellers demanding answers and accountability from SpiceJet officials.
