In a significant move, the Maharashtra State Revenue Department has launched a comprehensive initiative to address complaints and requests related to essential documents such as ration cards, income certificates, caste certificates, and domicile certificates. The campaign, named ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maharajaswa Samadhan Shibir Maha Abhiyan,’ aims to resolve issues faced by common citizens, farmers, students, and women quickly and efficiently.

Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule expressed confidence in the legislature that this initiative would be a blessing for the people of the state. Speaking in both houses of the legislature, Bawankule highlighted that many citizens face difficulties and repeated visits to government offices to obtain important documents, including residence certificates, income certificates, caste certificates, and ration cards, as well as to access various government schemes.

However, under this new campaign, all complaints and applications related to the Revenue Department will be handled at a single location, eliminating the need for citizens to visit government offices multiple times.

Minister Bawankule further stated that these special camps will be held four times a year in every revenue division. A grant of ₹25,000 will be provided for each camp, with at least 1,600 such camps expected to be conducted annually.

For years, similar campaigns lacked financial backing from the government. However, this year, under the initiative of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, ₹25,000 has been approved for each camp. This funding will enable the Revenue Department to operate more efficiently and expedite services for citizens.
