'Run For Clean Navi Mumbai': Special Women's Mini-Marathon On March 8

To celebrate International Women’s Day, a special women’s mini-marathon—‘Run for Clean Navi Mumbai’—is being organized  by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) .

The marathon is to be held on on March 8, 2025, under the ‘Ghe Bharari’ initiative by Dr. D.Y. Patil Deemed to be University, School of Hospitality & Tourism Studies. “This is a collaboration event and it is indeed to celebrate the spirit of woman,” said an official.

The run will commence at 6:30 AM from the main entrance of Dr. D.Y. Patil Stadium, located along the service road near the Sion-Panvel Highway. The event will cover a 5-kilometer distance, welcoming women from all age groups to participate in this unique and inspiring initiative. “ The event is open for all and woman are requested to participate in large numbers,” said the official.

With the theme of cleanliness and fitness, the marathon aims to promote health, endurance, and social responsibility. Participants will run not just for themselves but for the cause of a cleaner, greener, and healthier Navi Mumbai.
