Raigad: EVM Burnt Memory Verification Underway In Pen To Ensure Electoral Transparency

The process is being carried out at the Central EVM Warehouse in Shitole, Pen, with full video recording of the activities. Daily inspections are taking place between 10 AM and 7 PM.

A three-day verification program of the Burnt Memory in Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) began on July 21 in Raigad district to maintain transparency and credibility in the election process. The inspection will continue until July 23 under the supervision of District Collector and District Election Officer Kishan Jawale.

The process is being carried out at the Central EVM Warehouse in Shitole, Pen, with full video recording of the activities. Daily inspections are taking place between 10 AM and 7 PM.

Engineers from BEL (Bharat Electronics Limited) are verifying the EVMs used in 5 polling stations from the 188-Panvel Assembly Constituency and 4 polling stations from the 192-Alibag Assembly Constituency. The checks are being conducted in the presence of the respective election candidates and their representatives.

Officials confirmed that the verification strictly follows the guidelines laid down by the Election Commission of India, ensuring transparency and reinforcing public trust in the electoral system.
