Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Nagpur today to honor RSS founding leaders at Smruti Mandir during the organisation's Gudi Padwa festival celebration.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will pay respects at the memorials of RSS founder KB Hedgewar and second Sarsanghchalak MS Golwalkar at Dr Hedgewar Smruti Mandir. He is also expected to visit Deekshabhoomi to honor Dr. BR Ambedkar at the site where Ambedkar and thousands of followers converted to Buddhism in 1956.
The Prime Minister's agenda includes laying the foundation stone for the Madhav Netralaya Premium Centre, which will feature a 250-bed hospital, 14 outpatient departments, and 14 modular operation theaters.
Modi will also inaugurate new defense facilities at Solar Defence and Aerospace Limited, including a 1,250-meter airstrip for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and a testing facility for guided munitions.
Extensive security arrangements have been implemented for the visit, with over 5,000 police personnel deployed and the Prime Minister's convoy featuring 20 special vehicles equipped with security technology.
