Palghar, Maharashtra: A 37-year-old man was brutally murdered late Thursday night at the Ambat Goad ground near Pasthal, under the jurisdiction of the Tarapur Police Station in Palghar district. The police were alerted to the crime on Friday morning and have since launched a manhunt to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.

According to reports, the deceased, Abhishek Ram Singh, a resident of Atma Shakti Nagar in Tarapur, lived with his family. His body was discovered in a pool of blood early Friday morning. Preliminary investigations suggest he suffered severe head injuries, indicating a violent assault.

Police suspect the murder may have resulted from a personal rivalry. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and officials are reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area for clues.
